Fundraising, weddings and more

Fundraising, weddings and more

On Saturday 10th October we held our Fundraising Quiz Night for our much-loved vet nurse Lauren. Lauren suffers from Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and is fundraising to travel to Moscow for HSCT treatment to halt the progression of the disease and give her a better quality of life. On the night of the quiz we auctioned off many kindly donated prizes, sold raffle tickets and held silent auctions to help raise as much money as possible for Lauren. The proceeds from this, the tickets, and the sponsorship from local businesses brought in a whopping $8470.60! Additionally, we have since had another $200 donated by various clients who weren’t able to attend the night. We are extremely pleased with how much we managed to raise and thank you to all the businesses and our clients who donated. We have also been kindly donated a rugby jersey signed by the entire 2015 Rugby World Cup winning All Blacks team by ex-All Black Tony Woodcock. Keep on eye on Facebook as we will be auctioning this off on Trademe soon and posting the details on our clinic page.

A reminder to our clients that we now have an online shop up and running where you can purchase your pets’ food, flea/worm treatments and other essentials. The online shop has a huge range of brands and products, many of which we do not stock in store, and is an easy way to do your shopping with free delivery on orders over $50!

On Saturday 3rd October our lovely vet Abi got married to her (finally) husband Taylor! After having to postpone her wedding FOUR times due to the COVID-19 lockdowns, Abi and Taylor were overjoyed to finally celebrate their big day. It was a beautiful day which most of the clinic staff attended. Congratulations Abi and Taylor!

East Coast Bays Vet Clinic is the only Best Practice accredited practice on the North Shore.  Recently we again passed the stringent auditing process wit flying colours.  We are thrilled to continue to provide this reassurance to you all of the high standard of care we work to provide.  A big congratulations to our Office Manager, Kirsten, who worked hard to prepare for this on short notice after the Covid lockdown.
