Spooky Season!

Hi, and welcome to our Spooky Season newsletter!

The end of the year is fast approaching, so now is the time to plan ahead!

If you're heading away for fun times over the festive season, don't forget catteries and kennels will need an up-to-date vaccination.

If your pet is due for a booster vaccination, don't forget to book well ahead during the coming busy season. We would not want to disappoint and miss the chance to catch up with you and your furry friend.

Help Us Help You: Booking for Multiple Concerns

To provide the best possible care for each pet, we ask that you let us know at the time of booking if your visit involves more than one issue, especially when booking for a routine vaccination or monthly injection. Just as human doctors require advance notice for multiple concerns, having a heads-up allows us to schedule a longer appointment if needed. This way, we have time to address all of your pet's health needs in one visit, reducing the need to rebook or run behind schedule. Thank you for helping us make every visit as thorough and efficient as possible!

A big thank you!
In August, Steve and Kirsten traveled to Niue with The Rock Vets, volunteering their services to help the island's animals. The trip was a great success! The team completed 77 surgeries and 94 health checks. We can't thank those who contributed enough—you truly helped make it possible.
Steve is already booked to return in October 2025, and next year, nurse Rhi will be joining him!

A quick note about fleas:
Fleas thrive in warmth and humidity, and just 10 adult female fleas can lay up to 500 eggs a day! That's why consistent and effective flea control is essential to break their life cycle. We currently have a promotion on Bravecto flea treatments—buy any Bravecto product before the end of November, and you'll go into the draw to win a beautiful Linden Leaves gift hamper!

Spooky season!
One of our nurses absolutely loves Halloween, and she rallied the team to join in the fun! We dressed up and enjoyed a spooktacular shared lunch—even some of our staff dogs joined in! There were prizes for best dressed (human and dog) and best 'spooky' food option, as well as a game of 'find the skull' where 12 plastic skeleton skulls were hidden throughout the clinic; whoever found the most also won a prize. A very fun day, thanks to Lea and Julie!

That's all from us this time. Can you believe it will be our Christmas newsletter out next?
